Dit artikel verschijnt eind 2010 als hoofdstuk in het Handboek voor GZ-psychologen onder redactie van M. Verbraak, S.Visser, P. Muris en K. Hoogduin bij Boom uitgeverij, Amsterdam. Het artikel beschrijft hoe non-specifieke therapeutische variabelen, zoals het creëren van hoop, het motiveren van de cliënt, het bieden van een duidelijke en geloofwaardige therapierationale, en een optimale therapeutische relatie evidence-based behandelingen effectiever maken.
Summary
This article will be published at the end of 2010 as a chapter in the Dutch treatment manual voor Healthcare psychologists (Handboek voor GZ-psychologen) under editorial staff of M. Verbraak, S. Visser, P. Muris en K. Hoogduin at Boom uitgeverij, Amsterdam. The article describes how non-specific therapeutic variables (creating hope, motivating, giving a clear and trustworthy rationale and creating a good therapeutic relationship) make evidence-based treatments more effective.
